Our 2004 travels have yet to be written up, but included David's visit to EUMETSAT, Darmstadt for the "Meteosat-8 Goes Live" event, Cecilia's winter trip Norway and Lund in Sweden, a visit to Leicester for the GEO Symposium, a trip to Prague not for a beer-drinking binge but another EUMETSAT Users Conference (and our first Cow Parade), a visit Dublin for the James Joyce symposium marking the 100th anniversary of the events of the novel Ulysses. In August, Cecilia visited another Cow Parade in Stockholm while David addressed the AMSAT Conference in Guildford, and the year concluded with a visit to the Netherlands for another Werkgroep Kunstmanen meeting in Utrecht and doing the tourist thing in Utrecht and Gouda. |
